Novigrad
City of Novigrad is located on the northwest coast of the Istrian peninsula, 25 km from the Slovenian border and 15 kilometers away from nearby urban centers - Porec, Umag and Buie. As an old ancient city, which was once located on the edge of the Celtic migrations, it was at the intersection of turbulent historical events, as evidenced by various and numerous written and material sources, archaeological sites and monuments, which can still be found in the city and its rich collection of stone monuments. Frequent demographic changes and an abundance of cultural diversity, which is a kind of stamp of the specificity of Novigrad and the whole of Istria in general.
